David Bernat has been in the banking and finance industry since 1985. He is 48 years old, has been married sixteen years, has a fourteen year old son, and moved to the Tri-Cities area in 2004. In 1991 David began his career in Residential Mortgage Lending as a loan processor. He has held most every operational position; processor, underwriter, closer and post-closer. It was this training that provided the foundation and knowledge needed to begin his career as a loan originator.
In 1998, David was honored by the past president of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Brokers to receive a scholarship for the Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist "CRMS" designation. David accepted this honor and in September of 1999, completed all requirements and testing, and received the nationally recognized CRMS designation. Since receiving his designation, David has continued his education to remain current with the changing Federal and State Lending regulations.
When David is not originating mortgage loans or helping local real estate agents build their business, he can often be found attending his son's sporting practices, games and tournaments as well as golfing, vacationing with the family, or enjoying a backyard barbeque.
